LOUISVILLE, Miss. (PCSTV) – On Tuesday, students at Louisville High School participated in a mock election for Mississippi governor.
All students participated in the event by choosing one of three candidates for governor. “We sign their names and we’ll give them a ticket and they will vote for governor,” junior Desiree Hogan said. “It’s really fun to me.” “Our teacher is preparing us for the real world,” senior D’Angelo Triplett said. “We come in here and learn how to vote and when we vote for ourselves we’ll know how to do it.” Students went through the entire process of voting as they presented their ID’s, signed their name on a pre-determined list, voted in voting booths and dropped votes into ballot boxes. Wildcats from grades 9 through 12 enjoyed the event as we get closer to election day for Mississippi governor on Tuesday, November 5th.
