Louisville, MS (PowerCats TV) - Winston-Louisville Career and Technology Center has a goal of bringing our community together through many different opportunities. Markevious Foster, Talal, and I (Rodquan Jackson) interview various students, teachers, and the WLCTC Counselor at the Winston-Louisville Career and Technology Center. Students and teachers explain how WLCTC classes will benefit in the future. Chris Davis, WLCTC Counselor, states, "WLCTC (VOTEC) really does help my students here in the long run." In our story today we are focusing on promoting our local Wildcats Softball. Here at Louisville High School we are all about education and sports. Since it is almost the least viewed sport here, we decided to bring a little more attention to the sport. We did this getting interviews from some of the coaches and player. We decided to interview with the youngest coach ( Austin Swart) an while doing this we heard good things, such as " We plan on focusing winning more games by practicing harder. We also interviewed Lymia Fifer and she implied good things as well like" I know I will have to talk my teammates to be positive". In conclusion, the father of the younger Coach Swart and also the Head Coach of the softball team. Coach Swart gave us a good closing quote by saying"Many other team have a drive to win we are still striving to get better at believing in working. Louisville High School Reintroduces the Annual Talent Show
By Erika Jordan - February 15, 2019 Louisville, MS (PowerCats TV) - Can you sing, act, or dance? Or maybe you enjoy observing people who can sing, act, or dance? Well the LHS Auditorium is the place to be! Talent Show is being reintroduced by Shonna Ryals and Ashley Boatner, who will be sponsors. Jazmin Taylor, one of the senior student council member, presented the idea to the the following sponsors (not available for an interview). Shonna Ryals, teacher, states, “This talent show is an opportunity for students to have fun and showcase their talents.” The LHS will premiere on February 21, 2019 at 7:00 PM in the LHS Auditorium. Louisville High School will be putting on a Black History Play with the New Stage Theatre of Jackson, MS. The goal of this play is to bring our community together through Black History Month. Holly Haimes, teacher at LHS states, “I would like to inspire our students here, that they can make a change if they work together.” We hope you are able to join us on February 28 at 6:00 P.M. in Louisville High School’s Auditorium for our Black History Play. |
